What Size ATV or UTV Winch Do I Need?

What are you pulling and lifting? Consider that first along with your machine's towing capacity, found in your owner's manual, then add 500 Lbs. to be safe.

Compare Winch Synthetic vs Steel Rope

Synthetic rope has a benefits in comparison to wire steel rope although it does wear faster is lightweight, easy on the hands, floats in water. Steel cable will rust. Especially when exposed to the moisture and salt that Wisconsin winter brings. It becomes brittle, breaking and snapping back at the operator causing injury when under pressure. It's important to inspect your steel cable regularly for signs of deterioration, each time before use.
