Miles above the rest from an average guy!

Over the past 37 years, I've ridden many brands and styles of bikes. My wife has had her GL1800 for three years, and now I've finally got mine. The power and handling of this machine is awesome! The slow speed handling is quite easy, and service on the machine is the same.(with the exception of the air filter, which is not that bad once you've done it once or twice.) To each his own, but I really don't care for the K1200LT. I don't like the controls,(the turnsignal switches on opposite sides, the start button on TOP of the engine kill switch.) I also think the ease of opening the trunk and saddlebags are much easier on the GL1800 vs. the K1200LT, not to mention the sexier rearend! The K1200LT looks too industrial to me. Kind of like the back of an 18 wheeler trailer. As the preveious owner of a GL1500, I can't believe the difference between the two bikes. I think I know how many GL1200 owners felt when the GL1500 came out. Don't ride this bike unless you are ready to buy one, and the 20 minute test ride isn't long enough! Find a friend who'll let you borrow theirs for the afternoon, an you'll see what I'm talking about. Just my 2 cents, and thanks for letting me say so!

Upgrades/Accessories:  Chrome intake grills, chrome front cowl, chrome saddlebag scuff plates, CB, XM radio, Tulsa windsheild, mirror wings, and driving lights.
